Jacaranda Downs is a simulated venue. So is every venue in virtual racing. What is published here is the geometry, which is the part the industry keeps to itself.

The rail: True, fixed. Nothing on this circuit is watered, rolled or rained on, so there is no track rating and a form line from here carries none. The geometry changes what the screen shows, not what the draw does: a barrier holds no numbers in the weighting table.
The cadence
what the venue runs, and when it goes dark
- Day window
- every 4 min, 08:30–17:30 — 135 races
- Overnight window
- dark, 17:30–08:30
Both windows are printed whether or not the venue races in them: a track that runs one window says the other is dark, because a reader is entitled to know when nothing is on rather than to guess. A card every few minutes is what the real product does too — the same cadence for 49's Portman Park has been reported as three minutes, as three to five minutes and as nine minutes (archived horseracingbuzz.net results index and portmanparkresults.com, read 18 October 2026), and where the sources disagree the disagreement is recorded rather than resolved.
About the track
Jacaranda Downs runs right-handed: 2100 m around, two turns of 600 m, and a 450 m home straight, the longest run to the post on the circuit. Four distances are programmed — 1600, 2000, 2400 and 2800 m — and the feature is the Jacaranda Cup over 2400 m. The 1600 m starts in the chute. The 2800 m is one lap plus 700 m, so the field passes the post once before it finishes, and a Jacaranda sectional is read against the lap count printed at the head of the card.
Right-handed matters to the renderer and to nothing else. The engine mirrors the camera and the turn direction and leaves the draw untouched, which is the architecture the commercial products use as well: bet365's virtual sports rules describe the product as a computer-generated presentation of a random number draw result, with the outcome decided by the random number generator (operator rules, read 18 October 2026). Racing clockwise or anti-clockwise changes the picture, not the numbers.
Fields run 10 to 12. Classes run Maiden, Class C, Class B, Class A and Feature, with Trials for runners without a published form line; the six are defined in the glossary. A galloping track with a 600 m turn gives a long-distance field room to settle on screen, which is why the 2800 m sits here and not at Coorong Park.
What the proportions were modelled on
as far as the resemblance goes
2100 m around and right-handed with a 450 m run home is the size class of an Australian metropolitan turf course; the shape is generic, and the undulation, crossings and camber of a real course are absent from the geometry file.
The only right-handed gallops track on the circuit, and the only one with 2800 m on its sheet — read the lap count before reading a sectional.

Group status is conferred by a principal racing authority and this circuit has none, so the top grade here is Feature and the page says so rather than borrowing a grade it cannot award. How a virtual race is decided.
