Stockyard Gate colours Generated livery card for Stockyard Gate — yellow and purple stripes with a purple cap, over a bay coat swatch.

A runner on this circuit carries colours rather than a photograph. There is nothing to photograph: the livery is drawn from the same values the simulator renders, so the card above and the screen agree.

The rating is not a handicapper's mark — this circuit has no handicapper. It is the runner's mean published weighting: the average block of numbers, out of 1,000, that GP-Draw 4.2 has given it across the cards it appears on. Divide by ten for the mean true win percentage.

The record reads starts–wins–seconds–thirds and the form string runs oldest to newest, so the last figure is the most recent finishing position. Figures are as at 25 October 2026 on the circuit clock and move only when a card this runner is declared in is drawn. There is no prizemoney on this circuit: nothing is staked, so nothing is won, and the money column is printed as an em dash rather than filled with a number that does not exist.

Every card

12 published · 5 drawn · 7 to run

Every card Stockyard Gate appears on, newest first, read off the cards themselves. Numbers is the block of 1,000 the weighting table gave this runner in that race; price is the same figure in the other notation. A card still to run has no finishing position, because nothing has been drawn yet.

Fields are fixed when a card is published, so there are no scratchings and no starting price: the price in this table is the one the card carried. The draw has brought this runner out first 3 times on the published programme. How a virtual race is decided works through the arithmetic.

Prices on this page are the draw weighting in another notation. They are reference figures published with the card, not odds available anywhere, and not a betting recommendation.

The form line

the desk, on what the weightings have done

This is the runner to look at if the circuit's one real argument needs settling. Stockyard Gate has won three of its last five starts. It won the Trial at Wattle Hill off 67 numbers of the 1,000 at $12.78, in 1:22.0, by a short half-head. It won the Class A Synthetic off 152 numbers at $5.51, in 1:55.4, by three quarters of a length. And it won the Class B Flat off 20 numbers at $40.78, in 1:32.1, by 2.2 lengths.

Six point seven per cent of the draw, then 15.2, then 2.0. In between those three it held 21 numbers in the Class C Sprint at $37.67 and ran tenth of twelve, and 153 numbers in the Handicap Hurdle at $5.55 and ran fourth of eight. There is no pattern in that because there is nothing to make one out of: each race is a draw without replacement from its own table, and the table is written before the race and forgotten after it. A run of three wins at $5.51, $12.78 and $40.78 is exactly what a memoryless draw looks like when you print enough of them.

The Mallee win is the longest-priced winner on the published programme. Half Mast held the identical twenty numbers in that same race, at the identical $40.78, and finished last of ten, 27 lengths away. Both prices were right. Ahead of it: 317 numbers in the Coorong Nightcap at $2.64, its thickest block anywhere, and 24 numbers in the Bellbird Steeple at $35.77.

Twelve cards, the most of any runner alongside Old Telegraph. Trained by Faisal Karim, ridden four times by Kaz Tupou. It began on the flat in June 2024, a year before Bellbird Rise was added to the programme.
